Application
Heat shrink joint for XLPE single core medium voltage cables with armoring of wires or aluminium tapes.
Suitable for an outdoor installation, underground lines.
Technical characteristics
The electrical stress control is realized with a heat shrink tube “GT1” that reduces the effect of the electrical gradient at the edge of the semicon layer of the cable in order to maintain the security of operations.
The insulation is assured with a dual wall heat shrink tube “GT25”. The internal layer can support continuous electrical stresses and the outer layer restores the screen. An external heat shrink protection tube with adhesive “GT4” guarentees the mechanical resistance and prevents the ingression of water.
The kit contains all the elements to reconstruct the electrical conductivity and the mechanical protection of the aluminum armouring.
Same joints are available, on request, with an interruption of the screen with or without earthing braid.
