Application
Indoor heat shrink termination for XLPE medium voltage cables with aluminium armoured wires tapes. The version for contaminated ambient is equipped with one or more heat shrink sheds to extend the longitudinal creepage length.
Technical characteristics
The electrical stress control is realized with a heat shrink tube “GT1” that reduces the effect of the electrical gradient at the edge of the semicon layer of the cable in order to maintain the security of operations.
The insulation is assured with an antitracking heat shrink tube “GT2” that can withstand continuous electrical stresses and superficial contaminations without decreasing its performance.
The kit contains all the elements to restore the electrical conductivity of the aluminium armour (tin-plated copper braids and stainless steel clips).
