 For connections to increasingly compact transformers, Nexans developed two highly flexible cable solutions. Between the transformer and the MV/HV switchgear, a medium-voltage version carries 12-20 kV, with a copper wire screen to reduce electromagnetic interference. Between the transformer and the inverter, a low-voltage version, SIWO-KUL®, handles 1 kV. Both are temperatureresistant (–60ºC to +180ºC) and oil-resistant.
Nexans supplies Schneider Electric for switchgeartransformer connections and Converteam (now GE) for inverter-transformer connections. They are currently installing PV networks across Europe and worldwide.
